If I had motivation to bother a neighbor for a jump, go buy a new battery, and to drive 45 min, I would go. Maybe next week.
Check your local listings.

Oh good, maybe with the Corona virus people wouldn't show up with their lifted trucks and sit in the bed, blocking everyone behind them. That was the only downside when I went to a drive in. Still a good virus avoidance activity if they do delivery popcorn instead of the ridiculous queue they usually have.

Yep. They even changed the capacity and space between cars.

Well food of some sort. I don't ever buy food at the movies, but the drive in especially makes almost no money on the films and all of it on concessions. So keeping that going is essential to business.

None of the movie theaters make money on the film. Tickets sale go to the production company and concession
sales go to the theaters.

Yeah that's why $8 sodas and the like. Seems like a shitty setup to be stuck in to me for the theaters. But I'd rather watch a film at home on Netflix or whatever anyways.

My homet own in Maine still has the only one in the state. Lots of good memories there.
Right now I’m regretting coming home from North Carolina. It’s too cold to want to do anything outside, I’m sick of being in my house, and all the indoor activities are canceled.

Things are changing so quickly. In less than 24 hrs I’ve changed my tune and unsure if I’d go to the d rive-i n. By going I’d put the employees in a situation they need not be in. Ugh.
It was raining this morning but has cleared now. Heading out for a walk shortly. Hope spring weather comes soon for you!!

Well, The Drive reports that more people are turning to drive-ins now, so it seems like quite a few people have the idea.
Hope they can make enough money despite having people bring some of their own food.

What a difference 24 hours makes. I’ve had a change of heart and made a personal choice to hunker down .
I believe it’s great to suppor t local business but at the same time the problem of the virus has become too great. If the day I go is the day an employee infects another employee , I’m kind of partially to blame. It’s just a movie and non-essential, something I see being legislated in the very near future .
Sorry to be a
bummer...
